Kannur: A newborn baby died in Thalasseri General Hospital. The baby of Bijeesh and Aswathi, natives of Mattanur, died this afternoon. The doctors informed the death after the caesarean. The relatives alleged that the baby died due to the negligence of the doctor.
The doctors did not conduct a proper examination. There was fault in checking the baby’s movement, said Bijeesh. She was feeling pain even before the date prescribed by the doctors and was then admitted to the hospital. Even though the relatives told the authorities to give more attention, the doctor’s didn’t care. He added that the news of the baby’s death was reported later.
Meanwhile, even after the death of the baby, the hospital authorities were not ready to show the baby’s body. It is also alleged that the authorities showed the body after the relatives made a hassle. After the post-mortem the body was handed over to the relatives.
