Thiruvananthapuram: A high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has decided to conduct direct inspection than satellite survey to collect information about buildings, institutions, and land use in buffer zone areas.
The Chief Secretary will codify the information provided by the Departments of Local Self-Government, Revenue, Agriculture and Forests at departmental level. The expert committee will examine the the data prepared through the satellite system and the departmental data. The buffer zone will come in 115 villages. The expert committee was formed to record the information of these.
As requested by the Supreme Court, the state has completed the census of buildings, construction activities etc. in the buffer zone through satellite system with the help of technology.
The State has filed a revision petition. The state will demand a speedy hearing in an open court. In the meeting, ministers A.K. Saseendran, P. Rajeev, K. Rajan, P. Prasad, secretaries of various departments and others participated.
