Ernakulum: The Division Bench ordered to stay the order of the single bench, that the government should pay KSRTC for salary distribution. The single bench had pronounced that the government should pay Rs. 103 crore to KSRTC for the distribution of the salaries.
The stay is on the petition filed by the government. Single bench headed by Justice Devan Ramachandran ordered the government to pay the salaries of KSRTC employees for the months of July and August. The government filed a petition against this.
The petition pointed out that the government is not responsible for paying the salaries of the KSRTC employees. KSRTC is formed just like other co operations. Therefore, no special consideration can be given to KSRTC. The order of the division bench came after hearing the preliminary hearing.
