Cyclonic circulation: Heavy rain predicted in Kerala; Yellow alert for 7 districts

Thiruvananthapuram: As per the prediction of the India Meteorological Department, people in Kerala will witness heavy to very heavy rain today. Last day too the state had  received intense rain.

Rain alert has been issued for all districts of the state. Orange alert for seven districts, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Alappuzha and Malappuram. Rain is very likely in all other districts too, and hence, yellow alert has been issued.

The cause of the rain is due to the cyclonic circulation over Tamil Nadu and nearby regions. More over, the cyclonic circulation formed over Bay of Bengal has strengthened the intensity of rain.

01.09.2022: Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikkod, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasargod
02.09.2022 : Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikkod
03.09.2022: Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram
04.09.2022: Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikkod, Kannur, Kasargod
