Mumbai: Maharashtra Government has ordered an investigation on the accidental death of Cyrus Mistri, the former chairman of TATA group.
The Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered the police chief for the investigation. They will probe whether there is any mystery regarding the death.
Fadnavis said that Mistri’s death is a painful incident and he extended his condolences to the family members.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed condolences on Mistri’s death.
The incident took place last day at 3:15 pm at the Gujarat-Maharashtra border . Jehangir Dinsho Pantole, his wife Anahita Pantole and Darius Pantole were also in the car with Mistri. Jehangir Dinsho Pantole died in the accident and the two others were hospitalized with injuries.
The car was driven by Dr Anahitha Pantole. She was working as a gynecologist at Breach Candy hospital, Mumbai. Police said that the car got hit on the divider of the bridge.
