Bengaluru: ISRO is ready to repeat history. A deal worth Rs 860 crore has been signed to build the new PSLV launcher for the country’s commercial and industrial sector. The agreement was signed between HAL and NSIL at the opening ceremony of the 7th Space Expo 2022 held at the Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre.
So far 52 PSLV rockets have been launched by ISRO. Development of new technology is essential for India’s growth. Officials say that if this experiment is successful, India will be able to achieve a big advantage, which will help the industrial sector to move on.
In August 2019, a discussion took place with News Space India Limited to make the PSLV-XL launch vehicles a reality. But in the auction held at the Bengaluru Space Expo, a consortium under the control of HAL took the responsibility of it. It is believed that India is preparing to make a new history when it signs a contract to build a new rocket launcher.
