Hyderabad: UP police seized Ambergris worth 10 crore rupees. A special task force of UP police from Lucknow has captured the ambergris that weighed 4.12 kilograms.
Among the team of the ambergris smugglers, 4 were captured by the police under the wildlife protection act 1972. They revealed that this has been used for manufacturing perfumes.
Ambergris is one of the unique and precious natural materials and is produced by sperm whales. Ambergris of 28 crore rupees was seized from Kerala on July, this year.
Ambergris will cost Rs 1 crore per kg due to its demand in the production of traditional medicine and perfumes.
