Mumbai: Customs officials seized gold worth 5.38 crore rupees from a Sudanese passenger from Mumbai Airport.
The gold has been found from the belt he wore. As per reports, around 12 people were involved in this smuggling. Six out of them are now under custody and the six others will be exiled, said the customs officers.
Customs earlier seized 1.3 kg gold worth 13 crore rupees from the same airport. A passenger from Khana was arrested in relation to the smuggling.
Police got secret information that the cocaine is hidden in his stomach. Following that 87 tablets were found from his stomach after a medical test.
