NewDelhi: Varanasi District Court has ruled in favor of Hindu believers in the Gyanvapi Masjid case. The court said that the plea of Hindu women seeking permission to worship at the place where they saw the Shivling in the mosque will stand. The court also rejected the demand of the mosque committee to reject the petition.
Judge A K Visvesh gave the verdict. With this, the petition filed by the Hindu women will be considered on the 22nd of this month. Five Hindu women approached the court with the petition. But the mosque committee approached the court stating that this petition will not stand. Then the court started hearing in this regard.
The argument which lasted for months ended on the 24th of last month. After examining the argument, the court announced that the demand to perform daily worship will remain and will hear the argument on the petition.
