Noida: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India’s Dairy Sector can be a business model for farmers of many poor countries.
The PM said this while addressing the International Dairy Federation World Dairy Summit 2022 that was organised at the India Expo centre and Mart in Uttar Pradesh.
The dairy sector not only strengthens the rural economy but also becomes a main source of livelihood for many people, said the PM. He also said that India’s dairy sector is known for the production of masses rather than the mass production and India has a huge network in this sector.
Another thing the PM pointed out about the sector is the efficiency of the digital payment system in the sector and mentioned about 70 percent of women participation in India’s diary sector.
The programme was attended by UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Parshottam Rupala and many other dignitaries.
The aim of the summit was to help the Indian Dairy Farmers to gain exposure in the best practices.
