NewDelhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that India will become the third largest economy in the world in a few years. Amit Shah was speaking at the World Dairy Summit 2022. The cooperative sector will also play a crucial role in the economic growth of the country. He also said that the government will help to establish 2 lakh new dairy cooperative societies at the village level by 2022.
He called for the introduction of modern technologies in the dairy industry. Otherwise the industry will no longer exist. Milk production should also be increased for the supply to poor people of the country. He added that self-sufficiency should be achieved in the manufacture of machinery used for milk processing.
India was the 11th largest economy in the world in 2014. Now India has become the fifth largest economy. Has full confidence that the government will take it to the third position in a few years. Amit Shah said that dairy cooperatives have played a major role in empowering women.
The cooperative sector and dairy cooperatives have played a major role in rural development. He also stated that an Amul export center will also be set up by the end of this month to promote organic products. He added that the summit is being organized after a gap of 48 years.
