Guwahati: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee suffers major setback due to the resignation of General Secretary Kamrul Islam Chaudhary. According to reports, he resigned blaming the party on its ‘confused leadership’.
Chaudhary resigned from the party on Monday. It is difficult to stand in the Congress and work for the people in the current situation, said Chaudhary in his resignation. APCC has leadership without vision. It is a pity that not a single leader from Delhi is coming to Assam to study the condition of the Congress, he added. In his resignation letter, he explained that he wanted to organize the Bharat Jodo Yatra first to unite the members of the Congress.
There are many people in the Congress who have sacrificed their blood for the Congress over the years and worked like him. But the party does not consider any of them, he criticized.
