New Delhi: Earth Science Minister Jithendra Singh said that India will send a human in space under ‘Gaganyaan’ in 2024 and the trials are said to start later this year. He also discussed India’s plan to send a person to the deepest point on the earth.
He informed that the schedule of the ‘Gaganyaan’ was interrupted due to the pandemic and the first test is scheduled to be conducted this year itself.
The crew for the mission was chosen from the Indian Air Force and underwent their training in Russia.
The Indian crewed orbital spacecraft ‘Gaganyaan’ is designed to carry three people.
