NewDelhi: India retained the SAFF U-17 football title. India beat Nepal by four one-sided goals in the final held in Colombo.
India’s goal scorers are Bobby Singh, Koro Singh, Captain Vanlalpeka Gutte and Aman. Aman also scored the fourth goal in injury time for India who were leading 3-0 in the 18th, 30th and 63rd minutes.
India won the title by dominating throughout the match. In the 39th minute, Nepal captain Prashant Laksham was sent off for a foul on India’s Danny Laishram, who were reduced to 10 men.
Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur congratulated the Indian team for retaining the title.
