NewDelhi: The Supreme Court has included the Lavalin case on Tuesday’s list. The case was listed by the Chief Justice’s bench. The plea filed by the CBI against the acquittal of Pinarayi Vijayan in the case will be heard on Tuesday.
The petition will be considered after the proceedings of the Constitution Bench. The CBI has approached the Supreme Court to quash the High Court’s acquittal of three accused. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, former Energy Secretary K. Mohanachandran, Joint Secretary A. Francis has been acquitted in the case by the High Court. The CBI argued that there is clear evidence against Pinarayi Vijayan and that he is involved in the corruption conspiracy.
