Lucknow: Child Rights Commission in UP has come up demanding the shutdown of unauthorized madrassas. Suchitha Chathurvedi, the member of State Child Rights Commission, has said that they have submitted a request to the Chief Secretary of the Commission with the same demand.
The incident of children locked up in chains is being circulated on social media platforms. When the authority visited the place for further investigation, it was found that several other students were also facing similar experiences.
Suchitha Chathurvedi said that the children are being forced to study religious lessons and those madrassas are unauthorized too.
Six madrassas underwent search. Some teachers are highly paid even though they are not aware about the subjects. Suchitha said that they are giving more importance to religious studies and this will destroy the rights of the children.
