Gold smuggling in Karipur; One arrested

Karipur: Man who tried to smuggle gold through the airport was arrested. Naufal P, a native of Variamkot, Malappuram, was arrested. The police seized more than 1 kg of gold from him. The accused had landed at Karipur from Dubai.

1.065 kg of gold in capsule form was hidden inside the body. The police said that the seized gold would be worth Rs 54 lakh in the market. Naufal was interrogated after the customs inspection.
