Bengaluru: The activists of the terrorist organization ISIS have been arrested by the police. Mas Munir Ahmed and Syed Yasin were arrested by Shivamogga police in Karnataka. The search for one of the accused is in progress, the police said.
The accused were charged under various sections of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967. The accused were members of a banned terrorist organization and were trying to carry out terrorist activities in the country. The investigation team also seized a burnt national flag from the accused. Both the accused were produced before court and sent under police custody till September 29.
Home Minister Araga Jnanendra instructed the police to conduct a detailed investigation into the activities of IS in India. So far, 30 IS terrorists have been arrested in India.
