Thiruvananthapuram: Here at Raj Bhavan Minister M B Rajesh met with the Governor Arif Muhammad Khan along with Chief Secretary V P Joy. The meeting was held at Raj Bhavan. The explanation given by the minister about the meeting was that he had come to invite the governor to participate in the anti-drug campaign.
After the governor did not sign the bills passed by the assembly, there was a strong war of words from the side of the government. Meanwhile, political discussions have started regarding the meeting held by M B Rajesh. Out of 11 bills, only 5 have been signed by the Governor.
There is also a strong allegation that an attempt is being made to persuade the governor by explaining the government’s side. It is crucial for the government to persuade the governor in the case of the lokayukta verdict related to the usage of money from the chief minister’s relief fund.
