New Delhi: The Indian team for the Women’s Asia Cup cricket tournament has been announced. The selection committee has announced a 15-member team. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the team. Jamima Rodrigues, who has recovered from injury, is back in the team.
The batting team consists of Jamimah, Meghana, Dayalan Hemalatha, Smriti, Shafali Verma, Harmanpreet, K P Navgire and others. The bowling team is also strong with Renuka Singh, Meghna Singh, Pooja Vastrakar, Radha Yadav, Sneh Rana and Rajeshwari Gaekwad.
The Asia Cup will start on October 1 and run until 15. The Asia Cup is held in Twenty20 format. Bangladesh will be the venue for the tournament. India will face Sri Lanka on the first day. Later, India also has competition with Malaysia, UAE and Pakistan.
