New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called a crucial meeting in the context of nationwide raids on Popular Front centers. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, NIA chief will take part in the meeting.
The aim is to review documents seized by the NIA and ED from raids in 13 states. It is reported that a decision will also be taken on whether to ban the religious terrorist organization Popular Front.
Today’s nationwide raid on PFI-SDPI centers was conducted on the basis of investigations and information gathered by the Intelligence Bureau in consultation with investigative agencies NIA and ED. Around 106 Popular Front leaders have been arrested and many documents have been seized from PFI centers. The investigation is conducting at the centers of those involved in terrorist funding, organizing training camps and recruiting people to join banned organizations.
