New Delhi: Dr Umar Ahmad Illyasi, the head of All India Imam Organisation, said that RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwath is a saint-like person. He said this statement after paying a visit to the Mosque and Madrassa in New Delhi. He said that Dr Mohan Bhagwath, who accepted his invitation, is a saint. He said that although the god and worship are different for both of them they have mutual respect. He also said that apart from religion and belief the nation is far more important for both of them.
RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwath met Dr Umar Ahmad Illyasi as part of a meeting with the important personalities of the major sectors of the society.
Mohan Bhagwath held hours long discussions with the Muslim Organization leaders on behalf of Hijab and Gyan Vapi controversies. The former Election Commissioner S Y Qureshi, Delhi Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung, Former Aligarh Muslim University Chancellor and Lt. Gen. Samir Uddin Shah, former MP Shahid Sadiqi, Saeed Sherwani, a businessman and several others participated in the meeting.
Many Muslim leaders had expressed their support in the Ayodhya Ram Temple case. They had also given a remarkable message to maintain the peace. The RSS aims to bring the idea of nationality above the thoughts of religion and belief.
