Widespread violence in the state by Popular Front; Pelted stones on KSRTC buses

Thiruvananthapuram: Popular Front terrorists are creating a widespread violence across the state in the name of hartal. There was widespread stone pelting on vehicles in many places in the state. Stones were pelted at KSRTC buses in Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts.

In Kochi, KSRTC bus was pelted with stones by Popular Fronts in front of the Aluva Companyppady bus stop. The bus which was on it’s way to Cherthala was destroyed. A KSRTC bus was pelted with stones at Pandalam. The front glass of the bus was broken. The driver’s eye was also badly injured.

A KSRTC bus was destroyed in Thiruvananthapuram Attakulangara too. The attack was on a bus coming from Neyyattinkara to Thiruvananthapuram. KSRTC buses were pelted with stones at four places in Kozhikode.  Buses are running only to medical college in the district.

A KSRTC bus was pelted with stones at Kollam Thattamala. The windows of the bus were completely broken. KSRTC buses were pelted with stones in Aluva, Marampilly and Perumbavoor.

Meanwhile, the DGP has directed strict action to ensure law and order. The protesters are advised not to gather in public places and also ordered for preventive detention.
