Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State General Secretary M T Ramesh said that the school timings are not to be decided by any religion and if the government bows down before any of the religions will face unforeseen issues too.

The school timings should be set according to the convenience of the students. It must be a productive time for them and it should be implemented after conducting a discussion with the parents and the educational experts, said M T Ramesh.

The second report of the Khadar Committee that recommends changes in the school study schedule has been submitted to the government. In that report it is recommended to change the school timing from 8 am to 1 pm. The report also mentioned that morning time is the best for learning and rest of the hours can be used for sports and other co-curricular activities.
