Pune: Maharashtra BJP has demanded ban on Popular Front. BJP president Chandrasekhar Bawankule will discuss this with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the party leadership said.
The BJP president’s important move comes after the Pakistan Zindabad slogan was raised during the PFI protest in Pune. Bawankule also said that those who raised slogans should be charged with sedition and will be arrested. The slogans were raised by activists protesting against the raids conducted by the NIA across the country. The video was circulated on social media. He added that these should be tested.
The PFI activists were arrested in a joint raid by the National Investigation Agency, ED and police. 106 people were arrested across the country.
