Delhi: In Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the public can also suggest names to the Cheetahs that were imported from Namibia. The names must have close connections with Indian culture. People can also give their suggestions on the welfare of the animals. It is our responsibility to provide love and respect to the animals, said PM in Mann ki baat.
Meanwhile, the report says that the cheetahs are now acquainted with the Indian eco system and atmosphere. The Cheetahs seem to be very energetic. The cheetahs were imported from Namibia as part of a scheme to rehabilitate them.
The Cheetahs reached Madhya Pradesh after traveling 8000 kilometres. They come under the age of 30 to 66 months. They are occupied in a park that is spread over 750 square kilometres. There are five female and three male tigers. The PM also said that it takes some time for the cheetahs to cope with the new atmosphere.
