Kannur: Police again conducted raids on popular front centres in the district. The raids took place at the houses of popular front workers in Payyanur Ramanthali, those who threatened to close shops on the day of the strike.
This is the third time the police conducted raids at popular front centres in the district. Yesterday the police seized laptops and mobile phones in a raid from four centres at B mart in Kannur. This morning they also conducted a raid in a furniture shop called Fatimas in Mattannur under the leadership of Pradeepan Kannipoil, the ACP of Koothuparamba.
There were several attacks that took place in Kannur district on the day of the strike. The police clarified that all these acts of violence are similar and there was a secret conspiracy behind this. It is also informed that the fund for the attacks was received from some of the popular front centres.
