New Delhi: Two hundred and fifty Popular Front workers have been detained in the nationwide raid held by agencies. Today’s raids were conducted in Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Assam and Delhi. Search operations in Popular Front centres are being held jointly by police and NIA.
SDPI activists too along with PFI workers were detained by the police in the raids held in Karnataka. More than 80 activists from both groups are trapped across the state. The raids were conducted in the houses as well as the offices of Popular Front workers. It is hinted that crucial information have been collected during the police raids.
57 PFI activists have been arrested over links with terror activities in Uttar Pradesh. Further steps will be taken investigating on the crucial data and documents collected in the search.
40 PFI activists are under arrest in the raids in the various parts of Maharashtra. The search was held in Aurangabad, Solapur, Amaravati, Pune, Thane and Mumbai. Six SDPI activists were also under custody.
