Kazhakootam: The Government sanctioned Rs 6 crore to settle various dues of Greenfield Stadium. This amount was sanctioned to be used only for payment of dues of electricity, water and property tax to the Corporation.
It is a DBOT (Design Build Operate and Transfer) stadium. KSFL has this right till 2027. Due to their negligence in maintaining the stadium, the government retained the annuity amount of around 6 crores. The amount retained from the annuity for the period 2019-20 has now been sanctioned.
The state government is providing all the facilities and support to the Kerala Cricket Association in connection with the cricket competition, said the sports Minister V. Abdurahman.
