Thiruvananthapuram: The anticipatory bail application filed by the accused in the case of KSRTC employees assaulting father and daughter in Kattakkada will be considered today.
Thiruvananthapuram Additional Sessions Court is hearing the case. The defendants alleged that Premanan, who was a victim of violence deliberately insulted the employees, came with the camera. A charge of insulting womanhood was also filed against the accused. The accused also say that this is to prevent them from getting bail.
But even after a week of the incident, the police have not been able to arrest the accused. By stating this, Premanan lodged a complaint with the chief minister and the state police chief yesterday. The accused have decided to remain in hiding until the court decides the anticipatory bail petition.
Station Master of KSRTC Aryanadu Unit A. Muhammad Sharif, Duty Guard at Kattakkada Depot S R Suresh Kumar, Conductor N Anil Kumar and Assistant C P Milan Dorich attacked Premanan and his daughter, a native of Amachal. There was widespread criticism of the police for not registering a case against Aji. Later he was also added to the list of accused based on the FIR.
