New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry has said that the PFI ( Popular Front of India), a religious extremist organization, has close connection with the IS. Three states; Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Karnataka said that the PFI is a threat to the nation and demanded the ban of the organization.
The Central Government mentioned all four major PFI attacks held in Kerala. The murders of three RSS workers Sanju, Nandu Bipin and the homicide of SFI activist Abhimanyu were mentioned by the Central Government.
After being banned, the PFI will be known as a terrorist organization. Association with the organisation will now be considered as a crime. The law says that the banned organisations must be reviewed by a tribunal after five years.
Rehab India Foundation, Campus Front of India, All India Imams Council, National Confederation of Human Right Organisation, National Women Front, Empower India Foundation, Rehab Foundation, Kerala are the other related organisations that are banned.
The agencies like NIA reported that if the PFI is not banned now, it will hinder national integration.
