Thiruvananthapuram: State issued orders to close the Popular Front offices. The order is on the basis of the ban issued over PFI last day. The district collectors and DGPs received direction to implement the order. The DGP will issue a circular explaining the order. The order was issued by the additional Chief Secretary of the Home Ministry.
The bank accounts of the leaders will also be frozen as part of the order. Further actions like closing the PFI offices were detained due to the delay in the order. As per the issued order, Kozhikkod state committee office will close today. Alappuzha, Mannancherry, Thiruvananthapuram, Manakkad, Pattambi, Pandalam, Aluwa, Adoor, Kannur, Thodupuzha, Thrissur, Kasaragod, Karunagappally, Malappuram and Mananthavady offices will also close today.
Following the ban on PFI, the Centre force has been deployed to Aluva. Threat against RSS leaders was also come up from Aluva, as the region with huge number of PFI terrorists.
PFI was banned yesterday morning. PFI and eight related organisations are banned in the country for the next five years. Centre points out that the organisation is a threat to the nation. The decision was taken after the terrorist link was found.
106 people were arrested in a raid conducted by the NIA on 22 September. 19 leaders were arrested alone from Kerala. From different states, 247 people were arrested in the second level of the raid.
