Kochi: The High Court will again consider the petition that demands police security for the construction of Vizhinjam port. The single bench will also consider the contempt petitions filed against the act of not considering the order to provide security.
The court instructed the government to submit a report over the implementation of the interim order, yesterday.
The petition was given by the Adani Vizhinjam Port Private Limited and Hovey Engineering Projects companies. The High Court earlier passed an order to provide security for the people those who are involved in this.
The court had clarified that the protests can be continued without interrupting the scheme and without entering the location. But the Adani group filed a petition against the police and the government for not following the order. The petition demanded action against the officials including the chief secretary and also against the priests who are leading the strike.
