Kochi: The National Investigation Agency has suggested the court to shift the accused to the high security prison. The accused were remanded till 20 October, will be at the district jail, Kakkanad and the court will consider the suggestion of NIA in the coming days. The agency will submit special application for the jail shifting permission of the accused.
The accused were presented before the special NIA court after seven days custody today. The eleven culprits were under Kochi NIA unit’s custody, held in connection with the nationwide raid conducted by National Investigation Agency.
The investigation team informed the court that more digital evidence has to be collected. The court will consider the plea of NIA , requesting to get Popular Front State General Secretary Abdul Sathar in custody, on Monday.
NIA interrogated the accused while under seven days custody and collected crucial statements on the anti national activities as well as the hidden moves taken to attract the youth to their group. Further actions will be taken inspecting these statements.
