Guwahati: India won the second match of the Twenty20 series by 16 runs. David Miller’s century and Quinton de Kock’s half-century did not save South Africa. Batting first, India scored 237 runs for the loss of only 3 wickets.
After 20 overs, South Africa’s struggle ended at 221 for the loss of three wickets. With this, India won both the matches and won the series. There is one match left in the series. India won the first match by eight wickets. Half-centuries from K L Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav and close half centuries from Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma gave India a huge score.
Virat Kohli scored 49 runs not out. Rohit scored 43 runs and K L Rahul scored 57 runs. Surya Kumar Yadav scored 61 runs and Dinesh Karthik scored 17 runs not out. India took two wickets in reply to South Africa in reply. Miller scored 106 runs from just 47 balls. The innings included seven sixes and eight fours. De Kock scored 69 runs from 48 balls. Arshdeep Singh took two wickets and Axar Patel took one wicket for India.
