Kochi: Abdul Sathar has been sent under NIA custody for five days in relation to the UAPA charges. The special NIA court in Kochi has issued the order. He has been sent under five days custody even though the demand was for seven days.
He is the third culprit in the case registered by the NIA. Yesterday, he was arrested from Karunagappally after he went into hiding during the time of the raid conducted by the NIA.
NIA had applied for his custody on Friday and also demanded an investigation over the foreign funding of PFI. The NIA also said that they will investigate recruitment to terrorist organizations and assets. Abdul Sathar is the state general secretary of the Popular Front.
