Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s two-week foreign tour has begun. Gone by Norwegian flight from Kochi International Airport at 3.45. Ministers P. Rajeev and V. Abdurahiman are along with the Chief Minister.
The visit is aimed at progress in the educational and industrial sectors of the state. The Chief Minister is visiting countries like Finland, Norway and Britain. The government’s explanation is that the aim is to study Finland’s education model and implement it in Kerala.
Ministerial discussions will be held to improve cooperation in areas including health in Wales. The Chief Minister and his team will also participate in the regional meeting organized in London as a continuation of the Third World Kerala Assembly.
The trip, which was scheduled to be held on October 1, was postponed following the death of former CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.
