Srinagar: Health Department has made arrangements for drug de-addiction centres in all districts of Jammu Kashmir. The action has been taken in the background of the rising consumption of drugs.
The centres were established in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice and Labour with the help of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The authority says that about 60 patients are visiting the centres daily, including the patients from other districts.
Officials said that the doctors are trying their best to save the lives of those who are addicted to drugs. The doctors say that the majority of the patients are using heroin.
