Dehradun: In Uttarakhand, 25 people died in the accident that happened when a bus carrying 50 people fell to a foothill. The incident took place last night at Simdi village in Pauri district.
The bus was plying from from Laldhang in Haridwar to Birkha in Pauri district and fell 500 meters down at Kotdwar in Uttarakhand.
The rescue operation is being carried out by the locals and the state disaster management force. The Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the State Disaster Management Centre and gave necessary instructions.
Earlier, a similar incident took place in Uttarkashi and 25 people were killed at Panna district of Madhya Pradesh when the bus fell into a 250 meter deep gorge.
