Tourist bus arrived after the Velankanni trip; The bus was over-speeding, says eyewitnesses

Thrissur: It is reported that the tourist bus which met with an accident in Vadakkanchery was over- speeding. Students who survived the accident and eyewitnesses shared this information. The bus was traveling at a speed of 97.5 kmph at the time of the accident. The information related to this was obtained from the GPS data of the bus.
The parents also said that the bus which had the accident arrived after the Velankanni trip. It was decided to leave the school at five o’clock yesterday evening. But the tourist bus reached the school after two hours. The driver was tired as he had come from the Velankanni trip.
The students who were in the bus also said that the bus was running at a speed of more than 80 kmph. The over-speeding tourist bus hit the KSRTC bus and overturned. The accident occurred while trying to overtake the KSRTC bus. Eyewitnesses also say that the tourist bus overtook other vehicles and came at a high speed.
