Mumbai: DRDO has successfully tested unmanned surveillance boats with weapon-carrying capability. The trial was held in Pune as part of Defense Expo-2022.
This boat can record video without human presence and send information to the control center. These are mainly used for monitoring purposes.
The boat also has facilities for equipping weapons in case of emergency. The boat is currently in the testing phase. It can be handed over to the Army as soon as the procedures are completed, group chief P M Naik said.
