New Delhi: The Centre permitted to bring Cable Car in hilly tourist areas of the country. The cable cars will work in a convenient manner for both laymen and tourists. The Centre Tourism Department said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the construction of the cable car project on 11th this month.
The Central Government has given permission for 18 cable cars across the tourist areas in the nation. The total distance covered under the project is 90 kms. The Department of Tourism informed that the tender for the project has also been called.
Cable Cars are most convenient and secure. It will be useful for many of the tourist centres in the nation. The Central Government has informed that this is an eco friendly project and they are planning to encourage such initiatives.
Cable Car tourism is being planned to be implemented in the renowned temple of Sankaracharya in Srinagar. It is also being planned across the river in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh to the Srisailam Jyotirlinga temple and the Mahakaleshwar temple at Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh is also included in the project.
Apart from this, the cable car projects from Jammu Kashmir to Leh, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tamil Nadu will start construction this year.
