Kochi: The arrest of Iranian nationals caught by the NCB in connection with narcotic drugs smuggling worth Rs 1400 crores will be recorded today. Then the accused will be produced before the NCB court. It was earlier reported that a Pakistan-based network was behind the drug deal. A detailed investigation is in progress in this regard.
200 kg of heroin, worth Rs 1,400 crore, was recovered by the Navy and NCB from the coast of Kochi last day. The investigation team has received information that Pakistan-based Haji Ali Networks is behind the transaction.
The group from Pakistan was handing over the heroin to the Iranian nationals who are now under custody on the coast of Iran. They were caught by the Indian Navy. The investigation into the incident is progressing.
