Gang rape in Wayanad: Woman being taken into home stay and hotel: six including two women arrested

Batheri: A woman from Tamil Nadu was subjected to gang rape at Vaithiri in Wayanad. The Coimbatore native woman was raped after being taken to resort and home stay. Police caught six people including two women in connection to the incident.

Riyaz (33), a native of Perambra, Shahjahan(42), a native of Villyappalli at Vadakara, Saranya(33), a native of Tirupur, Manju(33), a native of Parassala, Shanavaz(28), a native of Meppadi, Ansul Jamaal (27), a native of Vaithiri were arrested. Two of the culprits went on hiding.

The district police chief of Wayanad has informed that the charge of investigation has been given to the Kalpatta DYSP.
