Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan sent wishes on Eid-Milad-un-Nabi. He said that Prophet Mohammad had shared messages on harmony and brotherhood. On his Facebook profile, he wrote that Eid-Milad upholds humanity and mutual love.
Eid-Milad is being celebrated on the birth day of Mohammad Nabi, the Arab religious, social and political leader, who was also the founder of the world religion of Islam.
On this day, Mawlid recitations are being held in mosques under the leadership of the Mahal Committees. Rallies , art programmes and meetings are also being held in different regions of the state. Including the Gulf countries, many Islamic nations are celebrating the Eid-Milad-un-Nabi on 12 Rabi ul Awal,1444. This is the third month in the Islamic calendar.
