Ranchi: India won the second ODI against South Africa. The brilliant batting of Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer brought the team to victory. Shreyas Iyer scored the second century of his career for Team India, who came out with a target of 279 runs. Ishan Kishan scored 93 runs off 84 balls. India won by three wickets with 25 balls.

After winning the toss and batting first, South Africa scored 278 runs for seven wickets. Aiden Kyle Markram’s 79 runs and Reeza Hendrick’s 74 runs gave South Africa a fighting score. David Miller scored 35 runs and Klassen scored 30 runs. South Africa managed to score only one run in the forty-seventh over bowled by Shardul Thakur.

By the time Kishan got out after attempting a six off Fortuin, India was on the way to victory. Kishan’s innings consisted of seven massive sixes and four fours off 84 balls. Sanju Samson, who joined Shreyas for the fourth wicket, batted according to the situation. Shreyas Iyer scored 113 runs off 111 balls with 15 boundaries and Sanju Samson remained unbeaten on 29 runs off 36 balls. Shikhar Dhawan scored 13 runs and Shubman Gill scored 28 runs.
