New Delhi: E Aboobacker, the leader of the banned organisation, Popular Front of India (PFI) approached Delhi High Court to get bail on the case. He filed the petition pointing to his bad health condition. He pleaded to consider the petition immediately. It is said that the punishment will be considered today.
Aboobacker said that he had already been interrogated by the NIA and later sent under judicial custody. In that complaint he clarified that he is facing difficulties to stay in the jail due to age related ailments.
After the nationwide raid took place against the PFI, Aboobacker got arrested from Kerala and later filed a case against him . He was sent under judicial custody after being presented in the court.
The PFI and some other associated organizations have been banned since 28 September. On 22 September, 106 people were arrested in a raid that was held across the nation and 19 leaders were arrested from Kerala alone. In the second phase of investigation a total of 247 people were arrested.
