Thrissur: 20 kg of cannabis was seized from a car, during a vehicle inspection by the highway police on the National Highway Thrissur-Amballur. The police arrested Satheesan, a native of Chittissery regarding the incident.
The cannabis was seized at 3.30 am today. Subsequently, Puthukkad police and excise officials reached the spot and completed the proceedings. Puthukkad police took the accused into custody.
Last day, the police seized 105 kg of cannabis from Thalayolaparambu. Kens Sabu, a native of Kottayam Karipputhattu, and Ranjith, a native of Mundakayam, were caught by the police.
