New Delhi: Mani Ratnam’s film Ponniyin Selvan-1 continues its triumphant journey. It is reported that the film has crossed the 400 crore mark as the film received a huge reception worldwide. Trade analysts predict that PS-1 will be able to collect 500 crores at the box office in the coming days.
Ponniyin Selvan became the highest-grossing Tamil film in America, crossing Rajinikanth’s 2.0. Apart from the US, the PS-1 record has also been broken in Australia, UK, Singapore and Malaysia.
The film was released worldwide on September 30 and entered the 400 crore club within ten days. The film was released in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages. Director Mani Ratnam has announced that the second part of Ponniyin Selvan will be released within the next nine months.
