New Delhi: Election Commission interfered in the Bharat Jodo Yathra led by the Congress. The commission sent a notice to the Congress over a complaint filed by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR). The case was on the incident of using children in the Bharat Jodo Yathra.
Meanwhile, on Monday itself, the representative of the Congress party tried to explain the incident and also denied the allegation put forward by the NCPCR. There is nothing illegal about the children’s participation in the Bharat Jodo Yathra. The representatives of the congress party said that there is nothing illegal in children taking selfies with Rahul Gandhi, the MP of Wayanad. Congress also alleged that the complaint has been raised with political interests.
Later, The NCPCR member Priyank Kanoongo has come up with a reply to the Congress. The Congress party members even created a party named ‘Jawahar Bal Munch’ to politically influence children between the age group 7 to 17. Priyank also said that the congress leaders are protesting by hiding this truth. He added that the Election Commission should look into the illegality in the incident.
